My Coding Journey

I started coding when I was in 4th grade. I started with Scratch, then did some really basic Web Development, and made a few basic apps with MIT App Inventor. I have been coding a lot since then!

My First Product: Basic Web Development

This is the first website that I ever made: http://jayminding.coding-start.com/index.html
It consisted of only HTML (no CSS, JavaScript, or UI Libraries). Since then, I have improved quite a bit (as you can see by this website).

Learning Python

I started learning Python at an after-school program in 5th grade. Ever since then, I have continued to explore Python and its many applications, such as data science and machine learning. It's one of my favorite languages because it is not only simple (compared to languages such as Java or C), but also really useful - it has many functions in many different fields, including:

App Development

Quite recently, I extended my interest in programming to making iOS applications. In 2020, I developed the iOS app CloudHanger as a submission to the Congressional App Challenge, and won in my district (NJ-09).
